Baseball Player Nick Adenhart Killed in Crash

Los Angeles Angels baseball player Nick Adenhart ( 22-year-old) has died after a hit and run accident Yesterday, April 9, 2009. Baseball Player Nick Adenhart was killed in a car crash in Fullerton, California Thursday morning. Nick Adenhart 22-year-old was died at UC Irving Medical Center. He was the rookie pitcher from Silver Spring, Maryland.

Baseball Player Nick Adenhart Killed

The team was postponed Thursday night series finale against Oakland to Mourn Adenhart, who was killed along with two other passengers in a car crash early Thursday in neighboring Fullerton.

The Police said There were three vehicles involved in the accident.Nick Adenhart was a passenger in a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse, which was broadsided in an intersection around 12:30 a.m with a minivan, apparently ran a red light. The impact spun around both vehicles, and one then hit a second car, but the driver was not injured.

The driver of the minivan fled the scene. He was later arrested and is now charged with murder, driving under the influence and hit-and-run. There was a passenger in the minivan, which had minor injuries.

The third car involved in the accident sustained minor injuries and the driver was safe. Adenhart underwent surgery when he arrived at the hospital,  but He died either during or after surgery. The other surviving passenger is in critical condition.

Henry Pearson of Manhattan Beach, a 25-year-old passenger in the car, and the driver, 20-year-old Courtney Stewart of Diamond Bar, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Like the rest of the baseball world, we all at Baseball Analysts are shocked and reach out with our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims at a time when the game itself seems so meaningless.

Fans paid their areas outside Angel Stadium Thursday news spread of Adenhart death. They placed flowers, base balls, posters and Rally Monkeys on a temporary memorial at the Pitcher's Mound on the replica brick infield near the stadium gates.

Nick Adenhart Family members and his friends are so sad about Nick death. Nick Adenhart friend said he was very funny kids. Adenhart had made a slow climb to reach the majors.

Adenhart had a 9.00 ERA in three starts for the Angels last season, but Scioscia said last month on the right had worked hard in the winter and until spring training with a purpose.

He was made the No. 3 starter as the season began this week because of injuries to John Lackey, Ervin Santana and Kelvim Escobar, all of whom are on the disabled list.
