Era of Good Feelings definition and Full history

"Era of good feeling", a phrase first used in Boston centinel Columbian newspaper in the July 12, 1817 after the visit of goodwill from Boston to the new president, James Monroe, which is usually used to describe the national mood in the United States, from about 1815 to 1825. Period after the end of the war in 1812 was characterized by a lower degree of concern about the possibility of foreign intervention in the Americas, relative to consensus on domestic policy and the apparent absence of partisan factions.
