Hyderabad city in Red Alert : The police have issued a red alert in Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh and Secunderabad to arrest the possibility of a terror strike on Thursday. The three Lashkar terrorists had permeated into the country for moving out a major terror attack on any south Indian city. Politicians and police officials on the hit list of Maoists have been asked to contain their movements.
Hyderabad commissioner B Prasada Rao said that there is a general alarm in the city and all police personnel have been asked to remain alert issued by intelligence Bureau. Security staff are also conducting vehicle checking on all the roads leading to the agency and also at vital installations, Malls and other places where people are likely to gather. The popular areas of Hyderabad like, R V Nagar, Munchingput, Seetanagaram, Gummalakshmipuram, Parvathipuram are sounded high alert.
The senior Police Commissioner Prasada Rao said, "The Red Alert is sounded as we do not want to take any chance and we are undertaking intense checking of all the vehicles.” The Home Ministry also said, the red alert has been put on in the state to confirm the attentiveness of state to counter terrorist activities.
