Miss USA 2009 Results - Miss Kristen Dalton North Carolina Crowned 2009 USA
Miss North Carolina USA Kristen Dalton gets crowned Miss USA 2009 on 19 April 2009 Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Miss USA pageant was host to a wild-hair Billy Bush and the talented and beautiful Nadine Velasquez from My Name Is Earl.
A Native of Wilmington, Kristen Dalton, a hope Motivational speaker, rose more than 51 other contest participants vying for the title Miss USA 2009. Kristen Dalton's mother was Miss North Carolina USA 1982 and her sister was Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2008.
The Participants from all 50 states and the District of Columbia competed in the pageant, aired live on NBC Television Network. Top 15 participants worked the stage in white string Bikinis designed by pop star Jessica Simpson's swimwear line.
The 22-year-old Kristen Dalton title comes with a year's use of a New York apartment, a two-year fellowship at New York Film Academy, managed by a PR (public relations) team and an undisclosed salary. Kristen will also go to the Bahamas in August to compete in the Miss Universe pageant, where American beauties have not been lucky in recent years.
Miss North Carolina USA Kristen Dalton had the highest scores of participants in both the 9.198 in swimsuits and a dress in 9.470. During the broadcast, viewers were able to follow the judging action in swimsuits and cap parts of the competition as judges total score was shown.
