A former BJP office- bearer, on Thursday created a sensation by throwing a wooden slipper at senior party leader LK Advani at a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh. Pawas Agraval who is a worker in BJP Party from Katnai hurled slipper at LK Advani. BJP Party workers in Katnai accused to Congress party for this. And Congress party condemned this incident.
Pawas Agraval, threw a slipper which is made from wood at Advani and saying he was, "a fake iron man" and did not deserve to the BJP's prime ministerial aspirant. The slipper missed Advani, but he became the latest victim as a series of 'shoe-throwing' incidents in the country.
Before Advani, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, Congress MP Naveen Jindal were also passing through this type of shoe attack. There was an intelligence input that a footwear could be thrown during Advani's public function earlier in Tiruvananthpuram and the people where asked to take off their shoes.
A former Katnai district president of the BJP, Agraval was taken into custody by police. He said that BJP should project some other leader as its prime ministerial candidate. Pawas Agraval was taking treatment in the past for his mental condition. Agraval told to media persons that Advani was "Nakli Lauh Purush"(A fake iron man), he has no identity. On the one hand he asks for votes in the name of Ram and on the other hand pays obeisance to Jinnah.
