Phil Spector was found guilty of second degree murder in 2003 shooting death 40-year-old movie actress, Lana Clarkson. Last night no mystery about who was responsible for her death - she was killed by a point-blank gunshot wound in the mouth - was put to rest when a Los Angeles jury found music producer Phil Spector guilty of murder.
On 13th April, Los Angeles members of the jury announced its verdict on the 68-year-old Phil Spector is now the possibility of life in prison when sentencing takes place on 29 May. The decision means Phil Spector, who is known for his work with musical acts such as Tina Turner, Beatles and Righteous Brothers, facing 18 years in prison when he is sentenced.
The producer defense team spokesman insisted again that Clarkson was depressed over her career and financial concerns and may have committed suicide after a night of heavy drinking with Phil Spector.
