Neha Kapur is Miss India 2006 !! The twenty-two year old Miss India Universe Neha Kapur from Delhi was surprised at the win … “Oh god! It’s still not sinking in. It has to sink. It has to sink !!” were the first few words after she won the title in a star studded show in Mumbai !!

Simran Kaur Mundi of Mumbai was crowned Miss India Universe 2008 at a glittering function held at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai on Saturday night.
Parvathy Omanakuttam of Kerala won the Miss India World crown while Harshita Saxena of Goa was declared Miss India Earth.
All the three winners will represent the country at the international beauty paegants during the year.
They were selected from among 28 finalists in the presence of prominent personalities from the field of fashion and Bollywood.
The beauty paegant brought international fame to Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza among others in recent years.
The elimination rounds were interspersed with scintillating performances by Bollywood divas Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy. The performances were choreographed by ace dancer Shiamak Davar.

The Femina Miss India competition began in 1964. It has been held annually, except for 1989. Earlier it was organized by Eve’s Weekly, also a women’s magazine.
The Femina Miss India winners will represent India at several international pageants such as Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Asia, Miss International and Miss Asia - Pacific, Miss Earth etc.

Pooja Chopra trained by Pageant Coach Ritika Ramtri Kumar, Pageant Coach of The Tiara won Femina Miss India East 2009 on 17th February 2009, at Kolkata. She also won Miss Perfect 10; Miss Catwalk and Nakshatra Miss Sparkling Beauty. 22 year old Pooja who is 5.8 inches tall has done commercials for Mr Muscle, Big 97 FM, Dabur Honey, Coke (Pakistan) and EZone. She has also walked the ramp for Gitanjali, D'Damas, Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis, Wendell Rodericks, Mihika Mirpuri, and Roberto Cavalli. She was Navy Queen 2007 1st Runner Up, NDA Queen 2004 1st Runner Up and has also acted in Fashion the movie. Pooja's wardrobe was designed by Fashion Designer Priyanka Rajiv, who has also designed a saree for Angelina Jolie when she was visiting India. Umesh Mohite, Facility Head –World Gym (Pune Branch) took care of her physical fitness.
23 year old Karishma Karnik who is 5 feet 10' also trained by Pageant Coach Ritika Ramtri Kumar was 1st Runners Up at Femina Miss India East 2009. She was also Navy Queen 2007, Mumbai.
