
One of the Largest Automobile Show “North American International Auto Show” was held in Detroit, Michigan on January 11, 2009. Most of the Automobile manufacturer suffered from global recession since last year. The major player in U.S General Motors, Ford and Chrysler are closing their productions. But new opportunities are still open for hybrid and electric cars.

Chinese auto giant BYD and Brilliance are exhibiting their cars in the main Cobo Center hall of the exhibition and plans to launch by 2011 in USA. There is absence of Nissan, Suzuki Motor, Ferrari, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, Mitsubishi and Porsche indicates the impact of current financial situations.


World’s largest auto Toyota Motor plans to launch more fuel-efficient Hybrid car Prius.
Toyota’s executives are hoping Prius will maintain its spot as the top-selling hybrid in the U.S. This third-generation gas-electric Prius, promises an average of 50 miles per gallon.

Toyota Division group vice president and general manager, told reporters at a news conference unveiling the 2010 Prius midsize sedan at International Auto Show.
2010 Prius have 4mpg mileage more over the current model, which already is the most fuel-efficient vehicle ranked by the Environmental Protection Agency. The first Prius was having 41 mpg and prices starts at $22,000.

Honda Motor said the new Insight will have a lower price than the Civic Hybrid, which has a base price of $23,650.
