Since 1918, Veteran’s Day is celebrated as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day. It is observed on 11th November every year. This day marks as an official end of World War I. On this day, an annual United States federal holiday is observed to give honor to military veterans.
The main aim of the Veterans Affairs department is to fulfill President Lincoln's promise “To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan” by serving and honoring the men and women who are America’s veterans.
