World's Ugliest Dog Winner for the year 2009

The World's Ugliest Dog Contest for the year 2009 was won by a boxer mix named as Pabst at the Sonoma-Marin Fair on Friday, June 26, 2009, in Petaluma, at Northern California. Pabst, the toothy 4 year old Boxer mix who has scrunched face and floppy ears was the winner of that annual contest.

It was the 21st annual contest and was a group of 15 contestants who participated for winning the title of World’s Ugliest Dog 2009. At last there was a tough competition between a Chinese champion Rascal and Boxer-mix Pabst. When the celebrity judge announced this two names, the crowd shouted “Pabst, Pabst,” as the winner. Pabst has sweet personality and most compelling physical features that made him popular among audience.

Pabst won $1,600 prize money and it was taken away by the owner of him named Egstad and he was signed a modeling contract with House of Dog. The Owner of Pabst told that he had adopted Pabst before three years and he had given this name to his dog as he had a “bitter beer face”. Brian Sobel, Who was a judge and Fair Board Member, told that they were looking for the dog that was naturally ugly and they found this in Pabst and so he was declared as the winner.
