Center for the adventure and rejuvenation of the Environment -CARE, an organization that promotes sports, has a three-day bungee jumping event on 10, 11 and 12 April 2009 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

According to SK Seshadri, Organizer said that "More than 115 people from 18 years to 25 years attended the event on Friday. The bungee-cord jumping were tested and crush the resistance of its two tons. We have excellent instructors too, "said organizer SK Seshadri.

Safety is a priority. All equipment is connected to a crane 130 feet in height. Participants should bring sneakers and not drink alcohol, to perform the operation. Pregnant women suffering from high pressure, etc., you should not participate.

Twenty-five years Bhargava engineer, who died on Friday, a bungee jump jumping up, his mother had Vijay Lakshmi in Chennai, moments before his death, and has shared her enthusiasm with her.

When a severely bleeding Bhargava was rushed to a private hospital, 10 km away from the event venue, doctors pronounced him brought dead.

Absence of ambulance and first-aid facilities required to hold bungee jumping at the venue delayed immediate medical attention in the 'golden hour' and rescuing the victim.

"Soon after the tragic incident, the organisers were missing from the venue. Efforts to reach them on their mobiles were in vain," a witness said.

The police arrested Sachin Venkateshaiah, who runs Head Rush Bungee, another city-based adventure sports company, which conducted the event along with CARE.

Venkateshaiah was presented to a local court Sunday for police remand and interrogation. Hospital sources said  the death occurred due to multiple fractures on the skull and could have been immediate. The body was taken to Chennai by road for the last rites.
