Suseenthiran’s latest Tamil drama-thriller movie Naan Mahan Alla has been released on today 20 August 2010 and the movie has got positive review from the viewer. Naan Mahaan Alla is story of the relationship between rich serious father and his romantic son with the criminal backdrops of Chennai. Kajal Aggarwal plays role of Priya and Karthik Sivakumar aka Karthi is played role of Jeeva. After his excellent performances in the movie ‘Pasanga’ and ‘Naadodigal’, Jayaprakash plays the role of Karthi’s dad.

Naan Mahaan Alla is written and directed by Suseenthiran. The film’s music is composed and scored by Music Director Yuvan Shankar Raja and R. Madhi has handled cinematography. K. E. Gnanavelraja, S. R. Prakash Babu, and S. R. Prabhu are producer s of the movie. It is distributed by Durai Dayanidhi Azhagiri's Cloud Nine Movies. The movie was given U/A’ certification with minor cuts by the Regional Censor Board.

Jeeva (Karthi) is a typical middle-class Chennai youngster with a devil-may-care attitude. He is an energetic young chap and a happy going guy. He falls in love with beautiful Priya (Kajal). The romantic life takes a drastic change in both lives and after a particular incident in his life Karthi is drawn into the world of crime and criminals.


The film spotlights on the growing crimes in Chennai and how it disturbs the innocuous people peaceful lives. In this movie Jeeva (Karthi) lives with caring parents (Jayaprakash and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan) and affectionate sister (Krishna Priya) and supportive friend (Soori). When Priya (Kajal Agarwal) comes in his life, his life is filled with absolute happiness. Jeeva’s life suffers a wild change as the dark-crude side of Chennai. Jeeva is enforced to hold the conditions in a mode which he never expected. On the realistic backgrounds, the film touches the growing crime rates in Metropolitan City of Chennai.

Karthi showcases ne plus ultra performance and gets under the skin of his characterization. In the starting of the movie, it strides out with excellent narration of fun, frolic and romance. The Karthi’s character has been well designed by the filmmaker. Kajal Agarwal appears sparkling and shares a good chemistry with Karthi. Jayaprakash and Lakshmi performance is also good. Anal Arasu is stunts choreographer for this movie. ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ is not only entertaining movie but it has also a factual reality of the crime.

According to the director Suseendran Karthi’s role in this film is almost the same as senior Karthik’s role in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Mouna Raagam’.

Director Suseendran assures that ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ includes 100% entertainment factors with comedy, romance, action and sentiments. Karthi said,” When director Suseendran was narrating the first half of the story I was laughing. I asked him whether I would be suitable for the role of an ordinary middle income youth. He said I will fit the role. For the first time I rehearsed for this film. I rehearsed for one week.

Due to Karthi & Kajal’s love chemistry, its musical tracks, movie plot & Karthi`s stylish performance, ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ is a must watchable movie for this weekend.
