The flaws in this film lies in the second half because it drags a little..but this film is far more better then mohabatein..best actor award should go to srk who made me realize that he could be a briliant actor rather then a brilliant superstar..

It is a simple movie, at the same time it is not boring. Aditya Chopra's story telling style is very nice; it is the real thread of the film. As usual SRK simply rock, but the important thing is the acting of Anushka Sharma, she did really well. In the current Bollywood as well as all Indian movies heroines doesn't have important roles, simply we can only view heroism. But in RAB Jodi Aditya Chopra gave equal importance to heroine, like hero and Anushka Sharma did it so marvelous. Music is another key factor of the movie. Salim-Sulaiman did their duty really well, and we can here a herat touching music all over the movie. So don't wait time go and watch RAB Jodi, otherwise you will loose a good movie in 2008.

Yesterday I watch the movie and it is awesome.

I have seen so many writing "How wife cannot realise husband without mustach". Movie is a fantasy and just go with the screenplay and dont think too logical. Will everyone do this for a James Bond or Superman movie. RNBDJ is all of love like a poetry.

I love the movie and how every feeling of love and emotions has brought up to the screen. SRK has did best and so Anuksha. Hats off to Mr. Aditya.

BAKBAS MOVIE........BUT MUSIC IS DAM GOOD

I read all the comments and those who are in favour of SRK and Yashraj, i guess are insane or true fan of SRK. In my opinion it was a bullshit crap non-sense story. SRK in funky, young avtaar (so-called) is actually looking cheap and disgusting. I think SRK was not allowed to see the final prints of the movie otherwise he wud have had banned this movie from release.
It is not-at-all digestable that you can not recognise a person with or withour moustache. Taani was not even in 1% doubt that the guy who is her partner can be her husband. not believable at all. I mean if they have told that the funky SRK is the twin brother of surinder sahni, that wud even made some sort of sense (like in old golmaal).
There are just two character in a 3hr movie with no other actors except vinay pathak (he too have done his worst role till date). I think they all gathered to make a flop disastar.
Taani was about to elope with the without moustache SRK but suddenly in the gurudwara she managed to see "RAB" in the moustached SRK and decided to stick to the old SRK. (what rubbish). The entire movie is in studio i dun know why. It has no reality in it basically but it dun offer any larger than life characters either.
Total No-NO movie.

I do not care what every one else say, I watched this RNB jodi yesterday and just loved it. Shahrukh and off course, Anuksha played the character soooooooo good. I am going back tomorrow to watch it again. It is like, how do I compare ? listening to Jagjit Singh's Gazals hundred of times and not get tired. It keeps on sounding better and better.
Go for best actor awards- 2008 Shahrukh! You deserved it again and again.We all love you.

Outstanding Movie. Great work by King Khan and lovely performance by Anushka. The movie may not have all the masalas but it has a simple storyline carried in a extraordinary way. Anushka is looking very beautiful, she is here to stay, and Shahrukh is glamourous as usual .
A must watch for everyone.

I have reasons to give so plz...

Surinder (the ordinary) becomes a total different person when he removes his moustache...and gels his hair...this is not happpening...the style,the way of talking...everything changes in ease...not at all natural...

Taani falls in love with her partner with no heavy reason...just coz the guy is funny..or her typer...or showed her what love actually means...its evident coz a theatre scene moves her...and she goes in search of Raj to the workshop...that was really stupid...and there was no scene showing why she suddenly left Suri in the theatre....that was bad..

movie had nothing else other than shah rukh's natural...surinder sahni...even tht raj was stupid and lame...

Then again....talking abt the music...its all copy in some way or the other...

Haule Haule - similar to adnan sami's kabhi nahi(with amitabh)
Tuj mein Rab - similar to agar tum mil jaao (from zeher)
Hum hein rahi - total situational waste and bad lyrics...except for the masala picturisation...

well guys all i can see from the reviews is, that anushka falls in love for a guy who has all the looks etc and is not as boring as her husband. i know i know, the other guy is shah rukh. But then, ofcourse you would like it if your wife goes off with someone else who is better than you right?

I mean if there was another guy who had a looks and can dance better you would let your wife go off there and have fun. Thats what this movie seems to be, and its pathetic if you like the story line.

We went and saw Rab ne banadi jodi yesterday. As I had already imagined, this had lot of similarities with one of my stories. This is one of the two stories that I had sent to Mirchi movies in May this year. Somehow I feel that concepts of my story have been lifted. I know there is no direct link between Mirchi movies and Yash Raj films. But there is every possibility of someone at the MML office selling off the story to someone at YRF for some small amount. The striking similarities:

1. Dance reality show vs Dance competition
2. Husband trying to prove that he loves his wife not by words but by deeds
3. Call centre employee vs Electricity company employee
4. "Thank you for calling Nissan, my name is Lijo...." vs "Punjab Power, lighting up your lives. This is Surinder Sahni"
5. Lijo having an infatuation before marriage vs Taani having a lover who dies before marriage

The only thing in addition to my story is Surinder playing the guise of Raj to impress his wife. And this is the only part that is not so digestable. How can one just shave off his moustache and gel his hair and become a person that even his own wife cannot make out? I know in countries like the US we could sue both YRF and MML on the basis of doubt and even the fees of the lawyers would have been on a commission basis. I don't think that could be possible here. But if there are any lawyers who would like to take up this case(purely on commission basis, no fees), I am ready to give all proofs of the story being my original work, proof that I had courired it to MML office. This movie is Pretty good :) :) :)... But we should not compare this movie to other block busters like DDLJ,DTPH...... This is a very different movie... As usual Shakrukh's performance is good. Anushka is looking cute...

The movie was not that much bad and now that much good,,,A full timepass and little bit boring ,,,like Yashraj shown the same script and sharukh was same like his previous movies ,,no change in acting,music was routine,,adding guest apperances are routine,,like kajol,,finally i will give 3 out of 5.If adi is a real diretor then he should do some experiments like changing the scripts like doing horror movies,,action movies,,,from past 1990 no change in yashraj direction....

This movie shows something which many experience in his/her life. Less or more, knowingly or unknowingly with perceivable or hidden difference. The final out put is to be happy feel good about onself n keep others happy. Not for the politically minded, manupulative people. People who love themselves will like this movie.

I havent watched the movie yet, but judging by the comments, it goes 50/50. Whats it with some people, what the hell has Amir Khan got to do with any of this, with all due repect both actors are veyr talented and are amazinga actors in there own ways! Wat da hell, ill have to watch it, its a shah rukh khan movie, cant miss ever!

Best Movie of the year.

I thought the movie was average, its nice to see Sharukh play a middle class character, show some variance in his acting, his timing was perfect while playing surri, but as Raj he looked too old. Didnt like anushka , her facial expressions were not convincing, although her dancing was good, i think the ramp is a better match for her. She was meant to play the role of a panjabi girl , i didnt see her convint that, she was a little to wooden in her stature. Her lazy eye was rather annoying, in close ups, her face didnt justify the emotions and she looked farrrr too YOUNG for Sharukh. Overall its a mood lifter, i loved the choreography for the 'hum hai rahi pyar ke, phir milenge, chalte chalte', especially the opening sequence with kajol- genius !! I liked the theme in it , the fact that surri character does anything for her hapiness and how she feels that buy packing his tiffin and making his food, that she is somehow repaying his favour. The final dance sequence , i didnt like the fact that she was suprised throughout the whole song, if it was a dance competition , then they should have been awarded enough point to win , the girl wasnt smiling and her lines were pretty wooden. Maybe the director told her to go like that , but i think the moment of suprise shoudl have lasted like for 5 seconds and then she should have happily danced her way through, the ending didnt have to be a cry-fest , i think aditya chopra shoudl stop trying to think what will make the viewers cry or laugh. Its a mood lifter , but it dragged on , i would go and watch it again, once is enough.

I was not going to watch this movie but I am glad that I did. Great concept and awesome acting by Shahrukh. He still dances great and Anushka has done good too. A must watch! It is a little emotional and touchy with some family drama in between. But that is why we watch movies for some emotional roller coaster ride. But all and all a good movie.

How could Shahrukh do this kind of bullshit movie?

i admit there are some places that look unrealistic...but those things are part of bollywood..........even masterpieces have those impractical things...but how will u ignore the feeling of a husband when he looses to himself..when he changes himself for the sake of happiness of his wife..just bcoz changing himself will make him spent some more time with his wife.Just look at the dilema of the wife..to chose between her love and husband...the dilema of a person when he doesnot understand what to be...her husband or her lover..ignoring 15 min from the movie..the movie is simply a masterpiece.......and srk as always outstanding work....anuska is cute bubbly and can act much better than dipika on debut......so watch the movie.......

All I have to say is that this movie is going to break all records! Srk was outstanding and this movie was by far the best movie I have watched in a very very very very long time. I give this movie a 10/10!

The acting by all persons are great. Music is not worth mentioning. The theme is quite mature and slightly philosophical. At several places, i felt bored. It can be seen once but not likely to be much of a hit. Anushka is great, look-wise and acting-wise.
