It is obvious that the Direction of this Idea Star Singer 2008 was not upto the level that of ISS 2007. The rating must have come down. No doubt. This is not the problem of the contestants. It is purely of substandard direction.

For example, Manikanda das was given a lot of songs which were not actually suiting his voice. When you are selecting a song you should know how popular the song is and what impact it could give to the listeners. I could hear some of his songs through other sources and I was really surprised.

Jusges, except Sarath, are all sterio type. When MG and Sarath were there, we could at least get some fun it between. This is the time for Unnikrishnan to stop stupid Manglish. He caanot imitate Deedi and Renjini because they are communicating well in English.

i feel pitty for all those who wrote pages for renjini's come back. aren't they malayalis???????? Aren't they ashamed of supporting one of the worst of worst anchors in malayalam industry now. Are the organisers of the progrsm influenced by the repeated appeals to bring that manglish girl back to show????/ i don't understand.Our most dear KALABHAVAN MANI made the right comment on her and on Sharath. But he is of course a trillion times better than the anchor in spesking and dressing. Renjini hug handsome male contestants and keep distance from the others. Is Mr Mohanan dead or alive? i doubt that. I believe that standard worth more than public support and rating. i am not abusing renjini since this note will not be published.there is no bad word equivalent to the word RENJINI. Every thing goes below it. Ask that## to learn malayalam properly and speak.

In normal case, we (viewers) can't accept that drama. Best of two singers no: 1 talented Amrutha & Hisham was eliminated with out any justifying reasons, this dicition can’t accept by the audience. So, so many viewers not like to watch ISS 2008. I am the one of the billions. I know so many cases like me. Why you not gave chances to participate all six finalists in finale stage. (iss already willing to pay Rs.75000 for the eliminators, using this money why not arrange 2 more conciliation prizes in finale stage). Why eliminate 2? What is the necessity of that? Amrutha is financially silent &Hisham is an NRE, so they have some limitations to canvas SMS more. Those genuine facts iss officials should be realized before conducting the eliminating process. Why not consider all over previous perfoments of them. You are played a big drama.All the time you can’t fool the audience.That is one of the main reason for ISS 2008 become a supper mega flop. Be the best at whatever you do & make your dreams come true by not hurting other people. Think well & take right decision at a right time.

Dear Asianet,

I am totally upset and sad.

In ISS 2007 I used to regularly spend one hour for this program and will be waiting every day for the time to reach.Now that interest is dead and has become an optional program.

The opening cermony itself was surpricing and didnt reach to the expected levels.Took some time to understand who are the judges and all.

As Asainet is having senior level managers like Mr.Sreekandan Nair etc should look in to the same and corrective action to be taken ASAP to sustain this program in this competetive atmosphere.

The charm of this program was these 3 factors!!!

I request to the management to bring back the old judges as they made it lively with the natural comments.

With out Renjini we cannot call it as ISS.

There must be some pretty girls and handsome boys as contestents to make the show lively.In Iss there where many pretty girls and handsome boys which was another attraction which made a big fans circle for the contestants.Definitely the music talent is the primary factor for selection but this cannot be ignored.

I would like to request Asianet to either bring the old team back or come out with some thing very creative than that.

Renjini plsss come back for this show. This time the panel of judges are not good. They are good in there profession but as a judge we feel they are simple pouring high marks.

2007 panel of judges were too good. All of us enjoyed seeing the show and none of us missed even one. But this time it has become an disaster. Pl call back all the old judges and also the anchor.

Eshwarimaa is not at all good she is good at her profession but did not like her as a judge. Ramya is good at hosting her comedy show. But for a program like this which goes globally Renjini suits the show. Devi should also quit as she is not at all impressive. There is no enthusiasm from her end.

Hope u will take this suggestion and incorporate the same otherwise we can see a major flop for this show.

I dont know y asianet is not making any effort to make idea star singer 2008 a great success..There is no preparation from th epart of asianet.theyare becoming lazy and assumes that like 2007 it will also become a hit.wWithin days the show will becmoe a great flop if it continued like this.

ISS 2008 is going to be a flop I think so.Anchor Remya is not good.she can't know the feelings of contestants.Renju was very good in tnteraction with the contestants.Ithink replacement of Renjini will affect th show badly.Also judjes are not good.Previous panel was better than this.What is the need for a change from 'sangathy' "into "plans" .this is not expected from them. any how sangathy and sareth will be in our heart.

Success if ISS 2007 was not only due to the contestants but also the anchor and judjes.Choice of anchor in 2008 , I think it is wrong decision.Remya can't make thw show lively.Always very boring questions and comments.Renjini was best.She was very smart and her english was very good.it is true we are malayalis and we have to promote malayalam.But we can't live in this world without english.So there is no need to blame her english.These blaming people can't speek ewnglish as renjini.It is wrong decision.and also judjes.they can't make the show lively.

Since contestents are singing hindi songs frequently, there should be a judge who knows hindi songs well.The boy who sang chahoonga mein in a totally disasterous way is selcted and all judges appreciated his singing!Poor judgment indeed.
Idea star singer 2008 lost its charm may be it started too early or not having a bunch of lively anchors and judges.
The plus point of Ranjini is that she has good interaction with contestents ,their parents and judges.She was active too. She knows a little bit about tamil malayalam and hindi songs also.Ramya is good for half an hour music phone programme.She has to improve a lot in her presentation.Hope she will come up to the mark.
Judges may be good at their respective fields but veiwers are not getting that feeling.Their comments are repetitive and not able to bring the liveliness to the show.

We should give Remya or Ramya a chance to do her job before we comment on her performance as an anchor. It is only the beginning. She sounds cheerful and enthusiastic. She speaks Malayalam, the language owned by 'God's own country'! In my opinion, Ranjini's Manglish and the show did not do well together. She never spoke grammatically correct English neither did she speak well in Malayalam. She has also appeared to have been insensitive at times. I did not think her dance was appropriate for a family show. I think Remya should be given a chance.

I'm very much relieved Renjini isn't there. My children,as well as many others, were imitating her ridiculous English, Malayalam and her petty style. I advise her to watch CNN & BBC daily and study malayalam accent. Even in Tamil or Hindi, I haven't seen an artificial, inflated and immature girl like her. She is a disgrace to malayalees and Indians & to Asianet led by Gopakumar and Mohanan. I wonder who selected her.
Sreekumar sometimes sing nicely the 'plans' , judge & advise well. But he should practise good mlylm pronunciation before he laughs at singers on that. He was pronouncing sagi instead of saghi, maduram for madhuram, padiku for padhikku, madavan for madhavan, sadakam for sadhakam,gandam for gandham, mukam for mukham,deeramay for dheeramay, abayam for abhayam etc. It's not his fault that he has a weak voice. However he has a good sense of humour though sometimes it goes too far.
I like Remya&LR ESWARY for their candour and sponteneity. Devi,is self- promoting with her artificiality. judges ought to
replace 'all the best' with other phrases. We like you, judges, not for your mastery in english, but for your talent in music.

Renjini- Worst anchor girl i have ever seen. Her over fashionable dressing and vulgure english pronounciation were horrible. every time, i had to mute the tv to avoid her foolish and immature conversations. Her bracket shaped legs and wide mouth were extremely awkward. It was the best decision to throw her off from ISS to a mud pit. Her idiotic expressions made the programme as cheap as cheap could be. We wonder how the officials of asianet like mohan chose her to be an anchor in such a good program.

Unfortunately, there is no Judge knowing Hindi or Hindi songs. The Hindi Songs, so far rendered in ISS-2008, were all having poor pronounciation. Especially in 'Dosti' & 'Chitchor'. Though Unnikrishnan made a glaring comment but still 'th' & 'tha' matters. Please add one good judge knowing Hindi & Hindi songs.

Ranjini was also very stylish. she added glamour to the progamme and her presentation. Her choise of clothes ver good.
It was going globaly with Renjini as we viewwers from outside kerala likes some glamour to the programm. the ofcourse didi who doesn't know her.
but now i just dont like the programme at all.
in fact the previous contenstant seems to stylish like Ranjini both going parallel but any more

you will watch the return of so many old faces who had actually been winners before
faces like VIVEKANAND, PARVATHY CHANDRAMOHAN(1st runners up ISS 2006), SANGEETHA(finalist 2006) are back in the show as contestans!!!doesnt that really sound funny??

i believe its been injustice on the fresh talents .

The jury had repeated the same mistake again.
The first few episodes ,they were so liberal that so many average singers got through. but towards the end of selection round so many extremely talented contestants were not selected because they could not accommade them.

I think they had to act more responsibly about it.

I think MGSreekumar was the poorest among the judges last season.I dont understandwhy he is retained.

its been sheer injustice on the fresh talents i strongly believe ..

The game is highly corrupted and manipulated i believe, as you will not see so many extremely talented faces in the 1st round, who have been put on waiing list during selection round.

Idea star singer should not give chance to contestants who have already participated in 2006 and have reached upto the finals....this is very awkward...being such a wonderful channel, how come the producers can make such a mistake by giving chance to the finalist of 2006 Star Singer......2006 finalist SANGEETHA is now participating again..this should not be allowed........if you can prohibit last years 45 contestants from participating, then you should not allow the 2006 finalists also.....

ASIANET cant do this......We are losing hope from Asianet's this years Star Singer...!!!!

Thank God I have been searching for a place to comment-ISS 2008 is so HORRIBLE-WHERE IS RENJINI?-some body wrote that she does not speak malayalam so u replaced her- I always thought Asianet, Sreekandan Nair and producer Ajayan were made of better stuff than this -do u have any idea that ur programme reached out to not only the malayalee community but the non malayalee community all over india. Renjini is a natural, i dont know why the maayalee brain can never find good in people. They can only look for the negatives.RANJINI U WERE GREAT AND U REMAIN THE QUEEN OF OUR HEARTS. With due respect to Remya her forte is something else not OUR ISS- She looks so plastic.WHERE IS DIDI? WHO CAN BE AS WARM AS DIDI? WE MISS HER.ASIANET U HAVE REALLY GOOFED UP. WHERE IS SHARATH - U OWE THE SUCESS OF THE PROGRAMME TO THOSE JUDGES COS THEY BROUGHT IT ALIVE AND INVOLVED THE AUDIENCE.WE HAVE ALL STOPPED WATCHING, EVEN MY NEIGHBOURS. I used to make sure 8.30p.m to 9.30p.m was free and nothing would pull me away. Now I feel like part of me is missing -I beg the producers on behalf of us humble audience-DONT KILL OUR FAVOURITE PROGRAMME.

The competition took a remarkable rise to stardom and captured the hearts of many many people who always scheduled their time to be free to watch Idea Star Singer 2007. This is not what we see now where the programme has lost its charm especially refering to the anchor Ramya who is too loud, lacks presentation but has beauty - Asianet producer should realise that anchor needs to present and carry the show forward and for that ramya lacks the experience and expertise what Ranjini created. Ranjini was simple in presentation and Ramya looks all dressed up like a model.

Please do something about the anchor and bring back the charm that created Idea Star Singer 2007.

Myself and my family hardly missed any of the 2007 show.It was superb with the panel of judges,anchor,orchastra,sets and of course the contestants.

But what happened to the 2008 show .A weak panel of judges except MGS,a poor anchor who has not come out of the hang-over of handling a comedy show elsewhere.Some of the judges try to project themselves by pouring out their knowledge,even if immature.

Totally disappointed.

iam so disappointed with idea star singer 2008.... i was such a fan of ur programme last year.... why did u have to do this???????? i like remya alright... she is really really beautiful..but dont u think her english is horrible.... i really really miss RANJINI..... she was too good.... and where is our usha didi and sharath... i miss them a lot... weve all decided ( that includes my whole huge family of 18 people (including kids) and our neighbours (includes tamilians and malayalees)NOT to watch idea this year.... so disappointed....
