Lisa Kelly of 28 is called as "The Tomboy” and a motocross-riding daredevil who is as full of energy as she is cute. Lisa has crashed both trucks and motorcycles, but she doesn’t let fear get in her way on the road. She must battle with the big boys daily just to keep her job. Lisa recently got married with the Cody Hyce he is called as “The Young Gun”.

Ice Road Truckers Season 3 ventures into the United States to Alaska's James Dalton highway. Ice Road Trucker veterans from Season One and Season Two are "the Polar Bear" Rowland and Alex Debogorski who followed the show to the new destination. These experienced drivers have never crossed the terrain that lies before them on the James Dalton Highway ice road.

Lisa is only one female in the three seasons so she has to prove herself by facing the hurdles of being a girl and young. And the truckers with nerves of steel take their lives in their hands to make a "dash for the cash'' driving their heavily loaded vehicles across frozen lakes to deliver much-needed supplies to remote Canadian diamond mines.

Along with Lisa, Hugh and Alex, on Ice Road Trackers Season 3, there are six more truckers you will get to know throughout the season. George Spears is the veteran of the North Slope Haul Road. The rookie, Tim Freeman, will take to the ice road for the first time. Other drivers include Jack Jessee, Cody Hyce, and Carey Hall.

Ice Road Truckers will take on the 414 miles of the James Dalton Highway that is filled with hills, gullies, hairpin bends, and avalanche alley. Journeys begin below the Yukon River at the Elliot Highway in Fairbanks, Alaska then cross the Arctic Circle to Coldfoot. At the end of the Highway in Deadhorse, Alaska, the ice road crosses the Arctic Ocean in order to reach the final destination in the Prudhoe Bay. The trek across this deadly terrain is necessary for crucial supplies to be delivered to the oil fields.
