Diving is an incredibly specialized aquatic discipline in which athletes jump platforms or high platform at a height of three metres and 10 metres above the pool. It requires balance and a lot of physical courage.

During their downfall, they are a number of spins, flips and movements before hitting the water at speeds up to 55kph. The divers are awarded points for how they make the jump, which is multiplied by a factor representing the difficulty of the dive.
