Obama and his agenda is responsible for the mess we're in...who else has deteriorated our economy more by providing billions of dollars to irresponsible institutions? Rather that providing them with money he should have let them take responsibility for their actions and the oportunity to get reorganized. Isn't how it works? moral decay has caused the decline and fall of major govt's. and empire's and civilization throughout history. Not just the decay of our officials, but personal decay and especially acceptance and non recognition of decay. we accept that it's not our responsibility, we shouldn't change, they should. then you elect a savior because you too blind too see that our best intrests are not his.with this we are the ones who have caused this recession. simply accepting that our officials have our best intrests at heart and then blaming them because we were apathetic and losing, no ,misunderstanding the moral obligations we all have to each other and our society. by the way i'm just as guilty, i speak with experience not eveangelism.

it is your lifestyle guys that drove you to the wall stop blaming others.. the banks did not give you all thoses credits card and all thoses loans without YOU asking for it, and they did not spend the money... YOU DID!!! the house, the cars, the vacations, the big ass tv to put in the big ass housse, now you end up with a bucket of chicken and a gallon of soda and yours eyes to cry.. you wanted more, always more... but now the bill is in the mail!!!

Dems need to open their eyes and this poll shows who exactly came up with the poll. Seems like they don't want others to admit Obama is worse for this country then any other president who has been in office. Where are the jobs he promised to create or SAVE. What about the deficit going in the Trillions on Obamas watch. And don't even get me started on nationalizing heatlhcare.

it was the liberals in congress, just as the person above me put ' because of all the people purchasing houses they could not afford' which can be attributed to liberals in congress they made the mortgage industry loan money to people with bad credit scores because they said that the industry was not loaning enough lower interest rates loans to minorities. That facts are that it had nothing to do with race it was that fact that some minorities had worse credit scores therefore they are more of a risk which mean the bank need to charge higher interest rates in case they default.

Simple answer, no one trust an affirmative action president, who says one thing and then does the exact opposite.

Politicians forced banks to make improvident loans. Housing prices declined (as they are oft to do in the short-term) and defaults occurred. Dodd, Frank- they're to blame.

this is a very short sighted answer. There is much more to it than this. I suggest to research for your self and stop listening to the Media. You will be surprised by what you will find out in just one evening. Read Known Liberal and conservative blogs. see views of both sides. no one view point is 100% correct .WE must learn to think for ourselves once again. scratch the surface and you will find out the facts.

Being self-employed in the finance industry and working in the oilfield, I have to say majority of the jobs lost were not lost til after the election. The large companies that create majority of the jobs are leary of the current President and said they would be reducing their workforce. With the expected changes in the corporate tax rules, I could not discourage them from making these changes.

America had bagan to climb out of the recession before the election. George Bush's strategy was working! Everyone's motto is "What's in it for me?" If the stockholders and executives are not allowed to benefit from the Capitalist system that makes America the greatest country in the world, they are not going to create the jobs needed to jump start the economy.

People of America should become less dependent on the government and become more self-relient. It's not the tax-payers or corporate Americas place to pay everything for you. Get rid of the UAW and the other unions and let the capitalist system work and you will see a regrowth in the American economy.

This recession is simply here because of all the people purchasing houses they could not afford. The financial industry is now in turmoil due to all of the loans in default.
