Information about ICC Champions Trophy tournament

ICC 2008 Champions Trophy is a one-day international cricket tournament to be held in Pakistan from September 11, 2008 to September 28, 2008, but there was speculation that the tournament will take place elsewhere due to security. On July 24, the ICC has announced that the tournament will be held in Pakistan after despite all the players from Australia, England, South Africa and New Zealand which raises concerns about touring the country. This is the sixth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy previously known as the ICC knock-out. On 22 August 2008, South Africa announced that it would not take part in the Champions Trophy because of security concerns.

Group A : Australia, India, Pakistan and West Indies

Group B : South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and England
