The Homeless World Cup is an international football (soccer) tournament, where teams made entirely of homeless people to compete. The event will take place annually, and from 2008 onwards, it is the sixth year.
Hogar for the 2008 World Cup in Melbourne, Australia, is a new record of participants in the project. Teams of 56 people the opportunity to meet in Melbourne from December 1-7, also for the first time, all the 8 women teams compete in women's Cup.
The different qualifications, or the destruction of the various stages are played during the week, so that all end up playing for the drink what the capacity of the team. The best teams play the top prize, the better prize is the second and so on. All the players in the medal.

Homeless World Cup 2008 Schedules and Time Table
THE PRELIMINARY GROUP STAGE :-
48 Nations, one of the goals. In the opening of the preliminary group stage, teams were forced to 12 groups of 4 teams in the group Friday. Each team plays each other once.
POOL STAGE :-
- There are two pools - Pool 1 and Pool 2.
- All the teams finishing 1 and 2 of the preliminary group stage, move across Pool 1. The teams finished first preliminary draft of the group stage, played the teams finishing a second.
- The teams ended on 3 and 4 of the preliminary group stage, move across Pool 2. The teams finished third in the preliminary group stage to play for teams finished fourth.
It is the third day of play, and now has 4 points 12 teams.
- Section 1 consists of all the winners of Pool 1
- Section 2 is made up of all the losers Pool1
- Section 3 is made up of all the winners of Pool 2
- Section 4 is made up of all the losers from Pool 2
- Each team playing the game.
Here are 8 groups of 6 teams. All teams will play each other once.
- Group 1 consists of winners of Section 1
- Group 2 consists of losers in Section 1
- The group is made up of 3 winners of the section 2
- Group 4 is made up of losers Section2
- The group is made up of 5 winners of the section 3
- The group is made up of 6 losers Point 3
- The Group 7 covers the winners of the section 4
- The group is made up of 8 losers in Section 4
The teams compete in six trophies and the status of a slap in competition, 8 teams prize, and everyone has to be the same or similar rule.

The Copenhagen City Trophy :- The bottom 4 teams in Group 2, the majority of the top 4 teams from Group 3
The Cape Town Trophy :- The bottom 2 teams throughout the Group 3 Group 4
The Huis Forbis Trophy :- All team in Group 5 of more than 2 team in Group 6
The Ombold Trophy :- The bottom 4 teams in Group 6, plus Top 4 Group 7
The INSP Trophy :- The bottom 2 teams in the group of 7 and all those in Group 8
Trophies have been awarded Best Fair Play-team, mixed team from Best, Best Female Player, Best Male Player and the best new.
