Justin Mark Eilers an American professional mixed martial arts fighter, was born on June 28, 1978 in Boise, Idaho formerly with the UFC and WEC. Eilers trained with Miletich Fighting Systems in Bettendorf, IA.

On December 25, 2008,Justin Eilers was shot and killed Christmas night in Nampa, Idaho. Eilers, a Boise resident, was identified Friday as the victim of the Christmas night shooting in southwestern Idaho. Canyon County Coroner Vicki DeGeus-Morris said Eilers died of a single gun shot wound to the chest, and the death was ruled a homicide.

According to reports, Eilers had get togethered at the house with relatives and friends to celebrate Christmas but an quarrel
reportedly take place between Eilers and his ex-girlfriend, who was also present at the residence. The heated discussion then shoot up, conclude with James Robert Malec, believed to be the boyfriend of Eilers’ mother, shooting Eilers once in the chest with several family members witnessing the attack.

Malec was apprehended by authorities and has been charged with second-degree murder. James Robert Malec was 48 years old was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder. Canyon County sheriff's office deputy Gary Deulen said the investigation is ongoing, but described the shooting as a domestic disturbance. Shuey, who lived with Eilers in Boise, Idaho, said his roommate was spending the holidays with family, including his mother, an ex-girlfriend and Malec. Shuey, who owns a gym where Eilers trained and worked, said they had visited Malec at his home on multiple occasions and were planning a hunting trip together.
