There are amazing pictures of Nature's powerful force. These amazing images were captured by the crew of the International Space Station 220 miles above a remote Russian island in the North Pacific.These images were capturing the movements of erupted volcano named as Sarychev near Japan from which a cloud of smoke, ash and steam flees five miles into the sky.

The Sarychev peak is one of the most active volcanoes in the Kuril Island chain and it is located on the northwestern end of Matua Island an early stage of eruption on June 12, 2009. The images have several facts that it occurs during the earliest stages of an explosive volcanic eruption so its quiet exciting for volcanologists. For more information click here

As the ISS continues its perfectly-timed fly and the eruption continues unabated. The perfect 'plume' at the top of the volcano implies there is no shearing wind, which would have disrupted the patternStretching behind the volcano lies the vast shadow caused by the eruption, as the blast continues to grow

These images show the plume drifting through the atmosphere in the hours and days after the eruption

Between the two overpasses on June 14, the ash spread north and west from the volcano

By June 15, the ash had spread out to the east and west
