Facebook’s 200 millions users passwords stolen by Hackers
Facebook has almost 200 million users have been under fire by hackers in the latest 'phishing' scam shoot the social networking website”. Internet fraudster was theft of access passwords of many facebook members on Thursday in a successful attack.
Users were hoodwinked into clicking on links posted from accounts that had already been chopped. "These brought up fake Facebook log-in pages which requested the visitors re-enter their user names and passwords.” And those who have committed fell into the hackers' trap and conmen keys to their profile.
Recently facebook’s security team is working on "cleaning up the damage," and has blocked the compromised accounts until further notice. Luckily, the problem has not spread over 200 million users network only touching a small part of accounts.
Now it is not clear how many accounts have been damaged, but Facebook has said that there was work to prevent them in the course of hackers and minimize fall out.
The false domain includes www.151.im, www.121.im and www.123.im. Facebook has deleted all references to those domains. “The hackers planned to stay until they had collected a large number of details before taking over the accounts to spam other members with ads for false pharmaceuticals and other products” said facebook.
