The Indian Space Research Organisation successfully launched an all weather spy satellite with the help of security agencies that monitor the hundreds of mountain vallys that connects India with Pakistan and terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan. ISRO launched it at 6:45 a.m. on Monday from the spaceport in Sriharikota. The PSLV-C12 rocket placed in its first Radar Imaging Satellite (RISAT 2) and ascended towards the sky and micro-educational satellite ANUSAT into orbit about 19 minutes later in a textbook launch.

The spy satellite, RISAT 2 which is 300 kg weighted was launched by PSLV-C2 from Satish Space Centre in Sriharikota. The satellite would mainly watch on the county's borders and facilitate the anti- infiltration and anti- terrorist operations. ISRO Chairman G Madhvan Nair said that the performance of the PSLV-C12 launch vehicle was accurate.
