Microsoft to ship Windows 7 without browser

Microsoft confirmed about Windows 7 without browser

US software giant Microsoft has confirmed about Windows 7 without Internet Explorer and it will distribute within European Union (EU) countries. Few days ago, this confidential memo was leaked by Microsoft's PC OEM partners. Windows 7 would be released on October 22 in Europe and after that it would be released everywhere else as worldwide.

It would make it easy for PC makers and users to get and install the web browsing program. It means that computer manufacturers and users will be free to install Internet Explorer on Windows 7.

Microsoft's Dave Heiner wrote that "We’re committed to making Windows 7 available in Europe at the same time that it launches in the rest of the world, but we also must comply with European competition law as we launch the product. Given the pending legal proceeding, we have decided that instead of including Internet Explorer in Windows 7 in Europe, we will offer it separately and on an easy-to-install basis to both computer manufacturers and users.

The commission charges Microsoft of crushing rivals by packing IE into its everywhere Windows personal computer operating system and it is giving the program an unfair advantage over competitors' browsers. For more information click here.
